2. Description of Service

Stargazers is a web application that fetches your GitHub starred repositories, categorizes them, and generates a public portfolio page displaying your tech stack. The Service requires authentication through GitHub OAuth.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

To use the Service, you must sign in with a valid GitHub account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your GitHub account credentials.

3.2 Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Upload malicious code or content
  • Impersonate another person or entity
  • Scrape or harvest data from other users
  • Use the Service to spam or harass others
  • Violate GitHub's Terms of Service

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Our Content

The Service, including its design, logos, and original content, is owned by Stargazers and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.

5.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of your GitHub data. By using the Service, you grant us a license to display your public starred repositories on your profile page.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with GitHub and is hosted on Cloudflare. Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STARGAZERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by discontinuing use of the Service and revoking GitHub OAuth access.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Service and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
